Care & Maintenance
Here at TIDE we take a lot of pride in the quality of the pieces that we create for your home.
Whilst some wear and tear is to be expected, a bit of care and maintenance will prolong the life and beauty of your furniture.
Please refer to our Care and Maintenance document or the overview below.
Furniture Care
Daily Cleaning
Use a lightly dampened soft cloth (a micro fibre cloth is ideal) to remove dust and light stains. Avoid using harsh cleaning products or scrubbing cloths.
For regular cleaning and rejuvenation we recommend Osmo Liquid Spray Cleaner.
Ornaments
Take care when placing or moving unglazed ceramics as they may scratch the surface. We also advise that ornaments are periodically moved to avoid shadows and marks.
Direct Sunlight
Avoid placing TIDE furniture in direct sunlight, as excessive sunlight will speed up the natural timber oxidation process and the corresponding yellowing that occurs.
Heat
We recommend using placemats and drinks coasters if you are placing hot dishes on the surfaces of your TIDE furniture. Direct heat can cause staining and/or damage.
TIDE furniture should not be positioned over heating vents, in front of gas heaters, oil heaters, open fireplaces or next to hot electrical appliances.
Moisture
All TIDE table surfaces are coated with a protective 'hardwax oil' that has excellent moisture resistance properties.
While a spill should not cause any issues to your furniture, it is recommended to wipe up the spill in a timely manner.
